Flos | Iconic Collector Design Lamps - Diffusione Luce
Design lighting and interior furnishings find their highest expression in Flos, a Brescia-based company founded in 1962 by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina. For over sixty years the brand has developed luminaires that unite formal research and technological innovation, becoming a benchmark for architects, interior designers and lovers of Italian design worldwide.
Collaborations with designers such as the Castiglioni brothers, Philippe Starck and Michael Anastassiades have produced objects that have entered the history of industrial design: luminous furnishing pieces capable of defining the identity of residential, contract and retail spaces. Each piece is conceived as a design object and interior accessory in its own right, crafted to integrate seamlessly into high-end living environments and hospitality projects.
The Flos catalogue ranges from sculptural floor lamps to functional table lamps, from pendant lights for residential and contract environments to wall sconces with essential geometries. Every luminaire features the latest generation LED sources, with colour temperatures calibrated to enhance fine materials, surfaces and furnishings.
Among the timeless icons are Arco and Taccia by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni — furnishing pieces that redefined the concept of the lamp as a design object — alongside Aim by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and IC Lights by Michael Anastassiades. Their inclusion in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York reflects the cultural value of a catalogue spanning hundreds of models, distributed across more than ninety countries — from Italy and Europe to the world's most demanding international markets.
