Description
Flos Parentesi 50th Anniversary Limited Edition is a floor-to-ceiling column lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù, produced by Flos as a limited edition to celebrate fifty years of one of the most iconic pieces in Italian design history. The steel and elastomer structure runs vertically between floor and ceiling, held in tension by a metal cable deflected by a tubular element and a 5 kg counterweight: the lamp slides along the cable and locks in place through friction at any desired height, rotating freely through 360°. The base is a cast iron block coated in silicone.
Conceived to elevate the most refined living room interiors, this special edition stands out for two colors chosen philologically by Flos Design Curators Calvi and Brambilla: Turquoise, a shade cherished by Castiglioni, and Orange Signal, the color Manzù used for his prototypes. Both tones are applied to the tubular element and the silicone base, faithful to the original design. The lamp features an E26/E27 lampholder, compatible with LED sources up to 150W, and is dimmable thanks to the included dimmer. Universal voltage 100–240V makes it suitable for installations worldwide. Total height is adjustable up to 4000 mm, with a 580 mm diffuser. Bulb not included.
