Contardi Lighting is an Italian company specializing in high-end lighting solutions, recognized internationally for its sartorial approach to lighting design. Founded in 2006 by the Carcano family, based in Brianza, Italy, Contardi stands out for its combination of aesthetics and functionality, offering products that combine fine materials, elegant finishes, and innovative LED technologies. The brand collaborates with internationally renowned designers and caters to a cosmopolitan market, offering collections for residential settings and custom contract projects.

Contardi was founded in 2006, but it has its roots in the experience of Michele Carcano, who had gained deep expertise in the lighting industry while working for Stilnovo. Today, the company is led by his heirs, Achille and Paola Carcano, supported by a cohesive team that shares a vision of lighting as an expression of style and functionality. Called the “Couturier of Light,” Contardi takes a sartorial approach, taking care of every detail and combining materials such as fabrics, glass and metal to create lighting solutions that blend harmoniously into spaces. Collections, such as Asia by Federico Peri and Calypso by Servomuto, reflect this philosophy, offering products that combine refined aesthetics and lighting performance.  With an established presence in the global market, Contardi opened a branch in New York, Contardi USA, in 2015 to better serve the luxury market. The company partners with major hotel chains such as Mandarin Oriental, Hilton and Shangri-La, offering customized lighting solutions for high-end hospitality projects.  Contardi is committed to sustainability, having implemented strategies to reduce its environmental impact, such as using environmentally sustainable paints and selecting zero-mile suppliers. The company also invests in advanced LED technologies to ensure energy efficiency and light quality. In 2025, Contardi opened its first single-brand showroom in Milan, on Corso Monforte, in the heart of the lighting district. The space, designed by Massimiliano Raggi, is conceived to offer an immersive experience in the Contardi world, presenting the collections in a scenographic context that enhances the dialogue between light and material.
