Flos Parentesi Dimmable Red is one of the most celebrated icons of Italian industrial design, created by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. This direct-light floor-to-ceiling lamp features a beautifully minimal structure: a steel tube shaped like a parenthesis, combined with moulded elastomer elements, slides along a steel cable tensioned between the ceiling and the floor, allowing the light source to be repositioned at any height with a gentle touch of the hand. A true manifesto of the form = function principle, awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 and today exhibited at the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale.
