Flos Parentesi suspension floor lamp

Flos Parentesi is one of the most celebrated icons of Italian industrial design, created by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù and first presented in 1971. This extraordinary suspension floor lamp takes its name from the steel tube shaped like a parenthesis, the central element that slides along a cable stretched between the ceiling rose and the floor counterweight, allowing the height of the light body to be adjusted with a gentle hand pressure. The luminaire head is made of black injection-moulded elastomer, housing the built-in switch. A true manifesto of the form=function principle in its purest expression.

Ideal for enhancing a living room or any design-conscious interior, Parentesi is available in four colour variants, in both on/off and dimmable versions, with a liquid-painted or nickel-plated steel tubular. The maximum useful cable length is 4000 mm, with an E26-E27 socket compatible with R125 LED bulbs up to 150W — bulb not included and available for separate purchase. The lamp is rated IP20 for indoor use only, with insulation class II and a 100-240V input voltage for worldwide compatibility. Winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1979, Parentesi is today on permanent display at the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale.
