Flos Toio Led floor lamp
Description
The Toio lamp was born in 1962 from the creative genius of the Castiglioni brothers, two of the most celebrated designers of the 20th century. Thanks to an experimental and playful approach, they designed the lamp using unusual materials, such as a car headlight imported from the United States. The idea of reusing industrial components to create avant-garde design collections marked a turning point in the design landscape of those years. The lamp's incredible design was rewarded with an exhibition at MoMA in New York, making clear its relevance and influence on contemporary design.
Toio - Floor lamp with indirect light emission. The base is made of sheared and bent steel, while the frame is made of steel section, both liquid-painted. The stem has a hexagonal section and is made of nickel-plated brass. The telescopic movement of the rod allows the height of the lamp to be adjusted. There is a dimmer on the cable, which allows the adjustment of light intensity in steps. Suitable for indoor use only.
