Tizio’s red 50th anniversary

Categories : Lighting

"The Tizio lamp was born from a personal need. While I work or read, I like that the light falls only on the sheet of paper in front of me, the rest of the room in the dim light. "

In fact, Tizio is one of the icons not only of Artemide production but of Italian design. Designed 50 years ago, it is still a best seller thanks to the upgrade of the low voltage halogen source with an integrated LED.

Tizio's 50th anniversary red edition

Artemide therefore decided to celebrate Tizio's 50th anniversary by launching a special edition made in red. There are only 5000 numbered produced pieces signed by designer Richard Sapper that will give you the opportunity to take home a one-of-a-kind piece. Tizio is a timeless product due to the quality of the materials used and the talent and inspiration of its creator.

In fact, this lamp was born out of a necessity, because at the time there were no lighting elements that would allow you to work with adequate light, without illuminating the rest of the setting. To obtain this type of light it was necessary for the reflector to remain close to the sheet without creating a large volume near the head.

In fact, Tizio is a small and light lamp, equipped with a practical and not bulky reflector. It is extremely versatile and adjustable and adapts to different positions. At the same time it is resistant and durable because the materials used are excellent and this prevents the joints from wearing out.

Clutter was another important issue to consider, because often on work tables as well as on coffee tables, space is always lacking and having a bright but spacious lamp was not the best solution. This is why Tizio is a lamp equipped with an articulation system held in balance by counterweights, while also guaranteeing the most complete mobility.

Tizio is therefore a practical and comfortable lamp, in its red edition for the 50th anniversary it will be able to give even more elegance to your setting, wherever you place it.
