Guglielmo Poletti, born in 1987, is an Italian designer who started his practice in 2016 after graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven, where he earned an MA in Contextual Design. Currently based in Milan, his studio covers a variety of projects ranging from one-offs and limited edition series, to collaborations with industry.

From the very beginning Poletti has developed a very decisive language, built around solid design criteria. His research investigates the limits of materials in relation to their use, challenging our perception and questioning the notions of balance, precariousness and structural strength.

Poletti's work has been published and exhibited internationally, and in recent years his studio has received commissions from various clients including Galleria Rossana Orlandi, SEEDS London Gallery, Desalto, Decoratori Bassanesi, Wallpaper Magazine, etc. In 2018 Poletti was selected among the six young designers winners of the Italian edition of the "Rising Talent Awards" of Maison & Object in Paris. In 2019 he was nominated "Young Talent of the Year" by Elle Decor Italia, which selected him for the "EDIDA - Elle Deco International Design Awards".
