Vincent Van Duysen was born in Lokeren, Belgium, in 1962 and, after graduating from the Sint-Lucas Faculty of Architecture in Ghent, he took his first steps in the world of design and interior design in Milan collaborating with Aldo Cibic.

Soon after he started working for Jean De Meulder in Antwerp until, in 1990, he decided to found the studio that bears his name, which today has more than 20 collaborators.

Van Duysen's projects range from furniture design to large-scale architecture, passing through luxurious residences all over the world, from Europe to the United States to the Middle East.

From the beginning of his career, the driving force behind Vincent Van Duysen's work has been the close relationship between architecture, interior design and industrial design, a fruitful intertwining that he has been able to cultivate throughout his creative career.

His projects are all connected to each other by a single fil rouge: the use of pure and tactile materials which results in a clear and timeless design in which integrity is at the center of every aspect.

In his work Vincent often speaks of context and tradition, of sensory and physical experience of space, and he does so through a careful and studied choice of materials and lighting products. Functionality, durability and comfort are the keywords of its architectural language that embraces aesthetics while resisting time, trends and fashion.

Over the course of his career, Vincent Van Duysen has received numerous awards. In 2016 he was appointed art director of the Italian brands Molteni & C and Dada, becoming responsible for their global image through the design of single-brand stores (including the New York flagship store on Madison Avenue), exhibition stands and new collections.
