VP Globe - Historical suspension lamp in the shape of a bubble with diffused light emission, for indoor environments. Outer shell in acrylic, reflectors suspended with steel chains. Available in two different sizes.
Read more ...The historic but futuristic VP Globe suspension lamp was designed by Verner Panton in 1969, a designer known as one of the most important representatives of the space age, of which the lamp reflects this style of the late 60s and 70s.
The VP Globe features an outer sphere of crystalline clear acrylic, complete with five internal reflectors suspended from three steel chains, with splashes of red and blue adding the finishing touches to the sculptural design. Panton's ambition was to design a lamp that could grab attention and "unite" a room, regardless of whether it was hung individually or in groups. This makes the suspension an ideal choice above a dining table, in a small or long corridor, or as a sculptural element in a corner of the room. The bulb in the center of the VP Globe disperses the diffused light for mood lighting.
