Verpan VP Globe 40 suspension lamp

Verpan VP Globe 40 is an iconic suspension lamp originally designed by Verner Panton in 1969, one of the most visionary designers of the space age, whose style this piece embodies with unmistakable futuristic flair. The lamp features a crystal clear acrylic outer sphere with a diameter of 40 cm, housing five inner reflectors suspended from three steel chains, with splashes of colour adding the finishing touch to its sculptural character. The light emission is diffused, producing a warm and atmospheric glow from the bulb positioned at the centre of the sphere.

Panton's original ambition was to design a lamp that could catch the eye and unite a space, whether hung individually or in groups. This versatility makes the VP Globe 40 an ideal choice above a dining table, in a hallway, or as a striking decorative element in the living room. The lamp is available in four original finishes, each producing a different light diffusion effect thanks to the coloured internal reflectors, making every version visually unique. The metal canopy is included, and the fabric suspension cord is adjustable up to a maximum of 400 cm. The lampholder is E14 with a maximum power of 60W, compatible with LED sources; the bulb is not included. The lamp carries an IP20 rating for indoor use only, with international voltage compatibility from 100 to 240 V, suitable for use in Europe, USA, Australia, the United Kingdom and Japan.
