Verpan Moon Opal suspension lamp

Verpan Moon Opal is an iconic suspension lamp by VERPAN, born from a 1960 design by visionary designer Verner Panton. The Opal version reinterprets the original lacquered white metal shade by introducing a body crafted in matte white acrylic, diffusing a warm and poetic glow reminiscent of the moon's ethereal radiance. The defining feature of this lamp is its concentric fan-shaped arrangement of vertical lamellae — a simple, repeated element that generates a complex form capable of reflecting and filtering light to create a captivating interplay of light and shadow.

The Moon Opal is designed for indoor settings where soft, glare-free ambient lighting is desired, with the light source always concealed from view. The lamellae can be individually adjusted, allowing the user to personalise the lamp's luminous expression. Thanks to its timeless character and sculptural elegance, it integrates seamlessly into the living room as well as the bedroom, becoming a true decorative element as well as a light source. The lamp has a diameter of 340 mm and comes with a white fabric cord measuring 2500 mm in length. The white ceiling canopy is included. The light source is LED with an E14 lampholder for 230V or E12 for 120V, with a maximum power of 15W, not included. The protection rating is IP20, suitable exclusively for indoor use. Compatibility with voltages from 100 to 240V makes it suitable for installations across Europe, Australia, the USA, the UK, and Japan.
