Electronic and electromechanical ballasts
Electronic and Electromechanical Ballasts: the Range at Diffusione Luce
Ballasts are essential components for the operation of discharge and traditional fluorescent lamps. Diffusione Luce offers a complete range of electronic and electromechanical ballasts for all main lamp types.
Differences between electronic and electromechanical
Electromechanical (traditional inductive) ballasts are robust, reliable, and cost-effective, but generate parasitic consumption, lamp flickering, and require a separate starter. Electronic ballasts offer superior performance: instant switching on, no flickering, 25-30% reduced consumption, longer lamp life, and quieter operation.
Lamp compatibility
Our ballasts are compatible with T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes, PL compact fluorescent lamps, sodium vapor lamps, metal halide lamps, mercury lamps. Always check the compatibility between ballast and lamp, considering the rated power and discharge type.
Applications
Ideal for industrial lighting, warehouses, storage areas, street lighting, maintenance of older installations and projects where complete LED retrofit is not yet planned. If a product shows zero availability, it can still be ordered on request: average delivery times are shown in the product page.
