Tridonic electronic ballast PC 49W T5 PRO ip is a professional electronic ballast by Tridonic, designed to drive T5 fluorescent tubes at 49W. Built in white steel, it features compact dimensions — 280 mm in length, 30 mm in width and 21 mm in depth — making it easy to install even in luminaires with limited space. The electronic system operates at a frequency of 42 kHz, eliminating flicker and ensuring a defined lamp warm start of 1.5 seconds.

This ballast stands out for its average service life of 50,000 hours, making it a reliable solution for professional and continuous installations. Light output remains constant and independent of mains voltage fluctuations, with an AC voltage range of 198 to 264 V and a DC voltage range of 176 to 280 V. It features overvoltage protection up to 320 V AC for one hour, overvoltage indication starting at 306 V AC, and undervoltage protection with automatic shutdown below 150 V AC or 176 V DC. The wide operating temperature range from -25 °C to +60 °C makes it suitable for varying climatic conditions. It is compatible with emergency lighting installations in accordance with VDE 0108 and supports both automatic and manual wiring via IDC connector. Automatic restart after lamp replacement and safe switch-off of defective lamps complete a high-level technical profile. The degree of protection is IP20, supported protection classes are SK I and SK II, with thermal protection compliant with EN 61347-2-3 C5e.
