Enzo Mari, a master of Italian design (Novara 1932 - Milan 2020), lived and created in Milan, where his artistic training gave rise to a body of work that transcends the boundaries of design, embracing painting, graphics and exhibition design. A lecturer, activist, and radical thinker, he has combined an essential poetics of forms with a rigorous vision of materials. His contribution, fundamental to the history of Italian design, marked an epoch. His collaboration with Danese Milano gave rise to experiments, sculptures and products that have become icons, milestones of a research that has marked the path of contemporary design.
