Flos

In 1962, under the leadership of Sergio Gandini, Flos established itself as a creative workshop, leading to the creation of revolutionary lamps such as the Castiglioni brothers' Arco, a symbol of elegance and functionality. Only 10 years later Flos gained international recognition with its participation in the exhibition Italy The New Domestic Landscape at MoMA in New York, an event that consecrated the company as a pioneer in industrial design innovation. In 1985 began a collaboration with Philippe Starck, which marked the beginning of a long series of successes, with lamps such as Miss Sissi, which mix irony and postmodern design. In 2005 it embraced the LED era, expanding into professional lighting.

Since 2010 Flos has continued to explore new horizons, creating solutions for all kinds of environments and collaborating with designer Michael Anastassiades to produce lighting that meets new aesthetic and functional demands. Since 2018, Flos has become part of Design Holding, a network that strengthens its global presence. In fact, the company makes a major commitment to sustainability, developing environmentally friendly products without sacrificing quality and innovation. During the 2020 pandemic, Flos rapidly adapts to digital, developing new tools to maintain contact with customers and designers, integrating it with physical events such as exhibitions and monobrands in 2022, and focusing on sustainable products, such as the new edition of the Arco K lamp, which represents the balance between innovation and respect for the environment.

From 2023, Flos continues to innovate with projects that combine design and research. The creation of Flos Stories and collaboration with world-renowned designers consolidates its leading role in lighting, always looking for new aesthetic and functional solutions.
