Born in Cremona in 1960, he studied at the International Professional Institute for Violin and Wood Crafts in Cremona and graduated in 1978. He then attended the Faculty of Architecture Politecnico of Milan and graduated in 1986, after having He studied in courses held by Achille Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso. During this period he also studied at the Politecnico of Design in Milan, a private school from which he graduated in 1984. In 1983 he began working at Studio De Lucchi, of which he became a partner three years later, until 1991 when he left the studio to open his own in Milan.

He works as an architect in the areas of product design, interior design, art direction and graphics. Since 1991 he has been the Art Director of Kartell and has held this position for several other companies including Flos, De Padova, Foscarini, Moroso, Society (Limonta) and Emmemobili.
