Verpan Moon Opal suspension lamp

Designed in 1960, the Moon pendant represents one of the great Verner Panton's early lighting designs, with the concept of a light source that is always hidden. The language of the suspension plays on the repetition of a simple element such as lamellae, which create a soft, glare-free ambient light by reflecting and filtering light, with the ability to be adjusted to customize its expression. The result is a complex shape with an intricate play of light and shadow. Moon is a timeless object with an innate sense of poetry, supposedly designed to mimic the ethereal glow of the moon.

Moon Opal originally created in lacquered white metal, is re-released by Verpan in Opal version in matte white acrylic for a warm and delicate poetic glow. A white ceiling rose is included and it comes complete with a 250-cm-long suspension cord in white fabric. The light source is a bulb with E14 (230V) - E12 (120V) lamp holder with max power 15W, not included. Vertical lamellae design arranged in a fan shape for individual light adjustment.
