Tridonic Ballast PC 2x80 T5 Pro LP is an electronic ballast designed to control two T5 fluorescent lamps at 80 W each, for a total managed power of 160 W. Built with a steel housing, it features compact dimensions — 425 mm in length, 30 mm in width and 21 mm in depth — making it easy to fit inside luminaire enclosures. Compatible with an input voltage of 220–240 V, the unit carries the CELMA A2 BAT classification, the highest energy efficiency rating for electronic ballasts, and features a protection degree of IP20.

The advanced technical features of this ballast include a nominal lifetime of up to 100,000 hours (at an ambient temperature of 50 °C with a failure rate of 0.1% per 1,000 hours) and an average operating life of 50,000 hours. The Advanced SMART-Heating technology ensures optimal filament preheating, guaranteeing a minimum of 50,000 lamp starts without lamp replacement. The Intelligent Voltage Guard system continuously monitors the power supply, signalling overvoltage conditions and triggering automatic shutdown in the event of undervoltage, while constant luminous flux is maintained regardless of mains voltage fluctuations. The ballast is designed for a THD below 10%, minimising harmonic distortion. The EOL 2 function ensures the safety shutdown of defective or end-of-life lamps, with automatic restart following replacement of faulty lamps. Temperature protection complies with EN 61347-2-3 C5e. The IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) terminal allows fast wiring, both automatic and manual, and the product is suitable for emergency lighting systems in accordance with EN 50172. Compatible with luminaires of protection class I and II, this ballast offers a reliable, high-efficiency solution for professional commercial and industrial installations.
