&Tradition Topan VP14 floor lamp

Originally designed in 1959 by Verner Panton, it is now available in table and floor versions with a new perspective on its shapes. The concept behind this creation was to mount Topan's historic lampshade on a cylindrical base, allowing the lamp to “float” just above the floor or table top. Originally designed to be placed in front of a wall to reflect light into the room, the lamp now rests freely on the base, allowing it to be adjusted as desired to direct the light wherever needed.

The floor lamp version of Topan is 46.5 cm high. The lampshade is formed by turning a single piece of aluminum, while the base is made of custom-cut extruded acrylic. The edges of the base are flame polished to make them smooth and transparent. All Topan lamps are designed to be disassembled as no glue is used, thus facilitating repair and recycling at the end of their life.
