Martinelli Luce Babele is a LED suspension lamp of exceptional character, designed by Marc Sadler in 2005. Its surface in turned and painted aluminum features circular ribs of varying diameters arranged on non-parallel planes, a formal gesture evoking the infinite human journey towards light. The exterior showcases multiple shades of micaceous color, while the interior is finished in gold, creating a refined chromatic interplay. The lamp is suspended with steel cables, supported by a 400 cm power cord and a 350 cm suspension cable for flexible installation. The LED light source ensures efficiency and a color rendering index CRI greater than 80, with a universal input voltage of 100–240 V compatible with EU, USA, UK, Australia and Japan standards.

Babele is available in three sizes that broaden its application range: the 45 cm diameter model (height 26 cm, 16 W, 594 lumens, weight 2.5 kg) suits more intimate spaces; the 65 cm version (height 37 cm, 24 W, 1010 lumens, weight 6 kg) adapts to medium-sized environments; the 92 cm model (height 53 cm, 60 W, 2827 lumens, weight 10 kg) makes a bold statement in large, open spaces.
