Louis Poulsen NJP Short Arm wall lamp

Louis Poulsen NJP Short Arm is a wall lamp born from the collaboration between Danish brand Louis Poulsen and Japanese design studio Nendo, led by designer Oki Sato. It is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic architect's lamp, defined by a clean, rigorous aesthetic in which every construction detail has been carefully considered. The structure is crafted in aluminium, with arms, lamp head and wall bracket in aluminium and joints in anodized aluminium, ensuring both durability and a refined finish. The powder-coated finish is available in White, Black and Light Grey, with the interior of the shade painted white to maximise light output.

Designed for environments where lighting quality truly matters, the NJP Short Arm is particularly well suited to workstations, reading areas and task-oriented spaces — an elegant choice for an office or a bedroom. The ergonomic design of the head gives the light optimal directional control: the luminaire delivers direct, glare-free horizontal light while reflecting part of the light via the back of the head to softly illuminate the upper section of the arm. A simple mechanical system ensures great freedom of movement, always allowing the light to be positioned exactly where needed. The lamp integrates a 10 W LED light source with 100–240 V input, compatible with the main international standards (EU, UK, USA, AUS, Japan) thanks to the interchangeable plugs included. It is dimmable and features two built-in light intensity levels, along with a timer function selectable at 4 or 8 hours. The switch is located directly on the luminaire head for immediate, intuitive use, while the separate LED driver connects to the power socket via a 3.3-metre plastic cable. With an IP20 protection rating and insulation class II, the NJP Short Arm is intended exclusively for indoor use.
