Concept: Inspired by the game of chess with their soft and sinuous shapes, King and Queen are the key characters of the chessboard. Their profiles stand out clearly in the white light diffused by the opalescent glass. Vertical King, screwed around a wide horizontal Queen circumference. They can be placed side by side, or recalled from different points in an environment, or even proceed independently, each of these lamps has its own personality. Floor or table, coffee table book or desk, both King and Queen have the spatial presence to create a context. The dimmer that allows you to modulate the light makes it a surreal element with different degrees of intensity: an element of representation that releases energy into space when the light is bright, an abstract and restful work when the light is soft and low, glass sculptures during day in environments illuminated by natural light Inspired by the history of art, from Cosm Tura to the Flemish interiors of Jan Van Eych to the conceptual imagery of Marcel Duchamp who practices the game of sacks as a way of life King and Queen are Cartesian axes of a universe that crosses eras and cultures.
