FORREST-SPI is the Newlab control unit dedicated to digital pixel-to-pixel LED strip management, designed to handle dynamic lighting systems with a running light effect via SPI protocol. Compact in its 48×48×23 mm form factor, it integrates seamlessly into recessed or in-wall boxes of any standard civil series. It supports a voltage range from 5 to 24 V DC with a maximum current of 15A and a manageable power output between 75 and 360 W, offering flexibility for both residential and professional installations.

Compatibility with the leading advanced protocols for digital LED strips — including WS2811, WS2812, WS2814 and GS8208 — ensures broad versatility with a wide range of pixel-addressable LED strips. Setup is accomplished intuitively via Bluetooth connection and the NewLabForrest app, available for both iOS and Android, allowing users to select preconfigured parameters tested by Newlab or to adjust them manually according to the specific requirements of each installation. The PUSH command also enables dimming adjustment through a long button press, as an alternative to the app. The system supports the connection of multiple units in parallel for multi-zone lighting effects, and integrates easily with occupancy sensors, pulse relays and home automation systems, making it a highly capable solution for advanced LED lighting control scenarios.
