Description

Danese Milano Undici, Stella is a silkscreen print designed by Enzo Mari in 1972 and reprinted in 2013, part of the celebrated Sei simboli sinsemantici series. The project was conceived to explore the use of elementary visual symbols as accessible artistic images, moving beyond the traditional notion of a unique work of art. The series features six deliberately simple and universal graphic signs, and Undici, Stella stands as one of its most iconic expressions: a star shape rendered in single-colour screen printing on 286 g/m² Cordenons white paper, achieving a result of exceptional visual clarity and material quality.

Through the boldness of the black sign against a white background, Mari transforms an elemental symbol into a powerful decorative piece capable of engaging with any interior. The square format of 680 × 680 mm gives the print a commanding presence, making it ideal for enhancing the walls of a living room or a design-forward office. The screen printing technique ensures sharpness and sign fidelity, reflecting Mari's conviction that design is a language capable of communicating ideas through essential forms. A signed edition is also available upon request, for an additional fee.
