Designed by Enzo Mari in 1972, Undici, Luna belongs to the series Sei simboli sinsemantici, a group of graphic works conceived to explore the power of elementary visual signs. The project investigates the idea of seriality as a way to introduce artistic imagery into everyday environments, making art more accessible to a wider audience.

The shape of the moon, rendered as a bold and essential black form, becomes a universal graphic symbol that communicates through pure visual language rather than narrative meaning. By eliminating the idea of a single original work of art, Mari embraced screen printing as a democratic technique capable of multiplying the image while preserving its visual power.
