Description

Undici, Luna is a screen print designed by Enzo Mari in 1972 for Danese Milano, part of the celebrated series Sei simboli sinsemantici. This group of graphic works was conceived to explore the power of elementary visual signs, produced using a single-colour screen printing technique on Cordenons white paper at 286 g/m², in a square format of 680 × 680 mm.

The shape of the moon, rendered as a bold and essential black form, becomes a universal graphic symbol communicating through pure visual language rather than narrative meaning. By eliminating the idea of a single original artwork, Mari embraced screen printing as a democratic technique capable of multiplying the image while fully preserving its visual power. Reissued in 2013, this print is an ideal choice for the living room or any home environment seeking a conceptually rigorous work of recognised cultural value.

Minimalist, direct and visually striking, Undici, Luna reflects Mari's enduring interest in visual communication and the relationship between design, art and reproducibility. More than mere decoration, it is an aesthetic and intellectual statement that engages effortlessly with any contemporary interior.
