Designed in 1965, Sei, L'Orso belongs to Enzo Mari's famous Nature series, a collection of graphic works created through a process of planned reduction that transforms images of the natural world into essential and immediately recognisable symbols. Mari's research focuses on eliminating the superfluous to highlight the fundamental structure of the image.
The figure of the bear is represented through a compact and decisive silhouette, defined by simple contours that convey the animal's presence with great visual force. Through this method of formal simplification, Mari transforms a natural subject into a powerful graphic sign, balancing representation and abstraction.
Produced as a three-colour silkscreen print on paper, the work reflects Mari's rigorous approach to design and visual communication, where clarity, synthesis and symbolic value become central elements. The work is part of the Nature Series produced by Danese Milano.
