Pedestal Vase No.2 by Danese Milano, designed by Ron Gilad, is a porcelain vase set into a beech wood base inspired by classical sculpture plinths. The project explores the relationship between scale, function and form, transforming an everyday object into a conceptual and expressive presence.
The intentionally altered proportion between the small vase and the pedestal creates a striking visual effect, while the internal cavity allows water containment without compromising functionality. The contrast between natural wood and refined porcelain makes it ideal for spaces such as the living room or the office, where it becomes a sculptural element that redefines spatial perception.
