Danese Milano Le Stanze silkscreen printing

Le Stanze is a silkscreen print by Enzo Mari for Danese Milano, designed in 1958 and part of the Danese Milano Art Editions collection. Produced using an 8-colour screen-printing technique on 300 g/m² handmade Dropjet paper, this work translates Mari's exploration of spatial perception into a system of geometric abstraction of extraordinary visual power. The print measures 700 mm in height by 500 mm in width.

The composition is built from a grid of repeated architectural forms reminiscent of simplified rooms or openings, arranged to create a rhythmic visual structure across the entire surface. Through the repetition of modular shapes and contrasting colours, Mari transforms the concept of space into a dynamic abstract system: the sequence of volumes and hues suggests depth and movement, revealing his rigorous approach to visual language.
