The new Skynest Motion and C lamps, Flos

Skynest is a unique lamp of its kind, born from the creativity and skills of the Marcel Wanders studio for Flos, now also available in the brand new Skynest C and Skynest Motion models. In this article we will therefore go to know the characteristics of these lamps and why they are unique in their kind.

Skynest Motion, Flos

Skynest Motion is one of the new Flos models, it is a suspension lamp that also rests on the ground, thus helping to create atmosphere and charm. But surely the element that most captures the attention and arouses curiosity is the dome, because the light is intertwined as if to create baskets or fishing nets, a mix of craftsmanship and technology that will make you fall in love.

In fact, the use of materials and the manual processing of these lamps, combined with creativity and innovation, have led to the birth of a modern and contemporary lamp. Thanks to its shapes, Skynest Motion offers a 360° degree light, it casts no shadow and diffuses the light in a very balanced way. No one expects such a powerful and diffused light source to come out of this woven fabric basket. This is also due to the innovative LED strip woven into a fabric tube that creates a handcrafted nest shape.

As if that weren't enough, this lamp is completely recyclable and each piece can be removed, so as to last indefinitely and avoid waste, in addition to this Skynest is made of recycled PL. In fact, for Flos sustainability is a very important aspect that must never be underestimated. Skynest is also light, since the weight of the materials is minimal so that it can be moved and lifted without too many problems.

Finally, it is available in Blue Tourmaline, Almond, Anthracite or Brick colours.

Skynest C, Flos

Skynest C has the same characteristics that make the Skynest collection unique, it is a ceiling lamp with diffused light, where the dome is a combination of luminous elements arranged in a network, intertwined with each other.

The peculiarity of Skynest is that the light is not emitted by a bulb or an LED board but by the elements that make up the structure of the lampshade: LED strips covered in fabric, or by the elements that make up the structure of the lampshade.

The textile tubes integrated with LED lights, therefore create a unique element of surprise, which challenges the archetype of bulb lighting.‎

Skynest C is then composed of a total of 72 fabric elements, 24 of which with a flexible LED strip that emits perfect light without "dots" and completely replaceable at the end of its life.

Like the entire Skynest collection, it is suitable for any type of setting, as its structure is delicate but of great presence in both domestic spaces, such as living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and work spaces such as artistic residences, retail, exhibitions and halls.
