Verpan Wire Portable rechargeable lamp

Verpan Wire Portable is a rechargeable portable lamp by Verpan, inspired by the iconic Wire design created by Verner Panton in 1972. Its cylindrical wire frame in chrome-plated stainless steel and hemispherical opal plastic shade bring a cordless, contemporary interpretation to a silhouette that has shaped design history, blending poetic forms and industrial materials in an enduring balance.

Thanks to its versatility, Wire Portable adapts effortlessly to a wide range of settings: it is the ideal companion for creating a warm atmosphere in the living room, enriching a reading nook in the bedroom, or adding a distinctive accent in the office. With an IP44 protection rating, it can also be used outdoors, though it should always be stored indoors to avoid damage. The integrated 3 W LED module emits warm white light at 2700 K with a colour rendering index greater than 80, delivering a pleasant, colour-accurate quality of light. The 3-step dimmable function allows the brightness to be adjusted to suit any mood or requirement. The lamp recharges via the included transparent USB-C cable (150 cm), compatible with EU, USA, UK, AU and JP power supplies (100–240 V); the power adapter is not included. Charging time is approximately 7 hours, with a battery life of up to 9 hours at maximum brightness. The inner shell housing the light source can be detached from the frame to make recharging even more convenient. The compact dimensions — Ø 18 × 25 cm, weighing 1 kg — make Wire Portable easy to move and position anywhere, while preserving the sculptural character of Panton's original vision.
