Verpan Wire Floor lamp

Wire Floor by VERPAN is an iconic floor lamp designed by Verner Panton in 1972, a masterpiece of Scandinavian design that remains remarkably relevant today. Its cylindrical structure in chromed steel wire, crafted without welding, encloses a plastic hemisphere that shields the light source, which is positioned at the centre of a chromed metal reflector. The reflector directs the light towards the hemisphere, transforming it into an almost magical diffuser: only when the lamp is switched on does it reveal its translucency, producing a unique and unmistakable visual effect.

The result is a completely glare-free, soft and enveloping light that provides a high level of visual comfort in any setting. The plastic hemisphere is removable for easy bulb replacement. The Wire Floor is best expressed in characterful residential spaces: it is the ideal choice for enhancing a living room with a piece of strong iconic value, and adapts with equal elegance to the bedroom as a design lighting accent. With a total height of 1200 mm and a diameter of 400 mm, the lamp offers balanced proportions and a striking scenic presence. The E26/E27 lampholder is compatible with LED sources up to a maximum of 60W, offering versatile use in both 230V and 120V environments thanks to its universal input voltage of 100–240V.
