&Tradition Tung side table

Designer John Astbury wanted to create a side table with a sense of monolithic strength. The result was Tung, a compact piece whose cylinder-shaped legs have become curved, with a shiny and reflective surface, alluding to the architectural presence of ancient pillars. While the proportions of the oversized legs lend a feeling of sculptural grandeur, the table has been scaled down to fit into even the smallest spaces. With its soft but strong proportions, Tung plays with a series of oily contrasts capable of bringing a classic aesthetic and an injection of colour to any space.

Tung is made of solid MDF which is milled and subsequently lacquered, to obtain a glossy surface. With a height of 48 cm, it is available in blue and Burgundy red.
