&Tradition Tripod HM9 table lamp

&Tradition Tripod HM9 is a lacquered metal table lamp with brass details, designed by the Danish duo Hvidt & Mølgaard, celebrated masters of Scandinavian design. Its sculptural yet restrained silhouette embodies the clean minimalism of Danish design tradition: the tripod structure is anchored by a heavy spherical component at the base, ensuring permanent stability while keeping the lamp body sleek and visually light. The shade and base, more substantial in form, create a refined visual contrast with the slender stem, while a swivel joint allows precise directional adjustment of the light to suit different needs.

Hvidt & Mølgaard first produced sketches of Tripod in 1953, but the lamp remained unreleased until 2020, when &Tradition finally brought it into production as part of its collection. With its compact proportions — 450 mm in height and a footprint of 260x320 mm — and its direct light emission, the Tripod HM9 is ideal as a reading, desk or bedside lamp, making it a perfect fit for the bedroom or the office. Fitted with an E14 lampholder accepting up to 25W, compatible with LED sources, the lamp is powered via a 200 cm cord with an integrated ON/OFF switch. The input voltage ranges from 100 to 240V, making it suitable for EU, USA, Australia, UK and Japanese markets. The lamp carries an IP20 rating for indoor use and features Class II insulation. The bulb is not included and the lamp is not dimmable. Customers purchasing from the UK should select the UK plug version.
