&Tradition Formakami suspension lamp

Formakami suspension lamp is a creation by designer Jaime Hayón for &Tradition, born from the fusion of traditional Asian lantern iconography and a contemporary design language. Crafted in ivory white rice paper with black-stained oak wood details, the lamp embodies a refined balance between ancient craftsmanship and modern design. Fitted with two E26-E27 lampholders compatible with LED sources up to 60W each, it delivers diffused and direct light emission, thanks to its intentionally open lower shape that projects light downward while enhancing overall brightness.

Paper lanterns have existed for centuries across different cultures as symbols of hope and prosperity. Hayón captured their essence and reinterpreted it in a playful and contemporary key, preserving the ivory white to enhance the visual luminosity and lightness of the lamp itself. Formakami is available in three versions, each distinguished by size and proportion: JH3 (Ø 46×68 cm, 0.8 kg), with a more elongated silhouette; JH4 (Ø 50×50 cm, 0.7 kg), with a compact and spherical profile; JH5 (Ø 70×67 cm, 1.5 kg), with a more scenographic presence and greater volumetric impact. Complete with a black fabric power cord measuring 4000 mm and an included canopy, it is rated IP20 for indoor use.
