&Tradition chair Betty TK1

The &Tradition Betty TK1 chair, designed by the duo Thau & Kallio for the Danish brand &Tradition, takes its name from the historic Betty Theatre in Copenhagen, built in 1857. This stackable chair in lacquered solid wood and pressed veneer is defined by its most distinctive feature: the exposed webbed seat, hand-woven using natural linen fibres. The structure appears sturdy while being exceptionally lightweight, giving the chair an airy, almost transparent presence — the result of a deliberate design choice that turns an element typically hidden beneath the frame into the centrepiece of the piece.

The Betty TK1 is suited to a variety of indoor settings, from dining areas to workspaces, and fits effortlessly into both a living room and a kitchen. Interchangeable felt gliders are included and fitted as standard, protecting floors without compromising practicality. The chair is available in three colour variants: OAK-NATURAL, lacquered solid oak with natural linen webbing; BLACK-NATURAL, black lacquered ash with natural linen webbing; BLACK-BLACK, black lacquered ash with black linen webbing.
