&Tradition Betty TK1, stackable chair in wood with linen webbing, for use in indoor environments. Minimum order 2 pieces per colour, not sold individually.
Read more ...The stackable chair by Thau & Kallio for &Tradition takes its name from the Betty theater in Copenhagen built in 1857, and is the result of a very broad design dilemma. Seeking to create comfortable seating suitable for any space, the solution came in the form of a component which is typically hidden under the frame; as a result Betty's most prominent feature is her exposed webbed seat. The webbed chair has the characteristic of appearing sturdy when in reality it is extremely light, in fact the webbing ensures that the chair is not only light, but gives it an almost transparent "airy" presence. The straps are hand woven using natural flax fibers.
Betty TK1 is made of lacquered solid wood and pressed veneer, with linen webbing. The interchangeable felt gliders are already included and installed as standard. Suitable for indoor use only. NOT sold individually: minimum order 2 pieces per colour.
