The Bellevue lamp is one of the distinctive pieces of the Danish design master Arne Jacobsen, who embodies the minimalism of the Modernist Movement with the functionalism of the Bauhaus. It is subtle, statuesque and imbued with timeless simplicity, with a slender silhouette, a graceful gooseneck and a 45° cut lampshade.
Almost a century after Bellevue's first release, this lamp remains an epochal piece of design and its creator, Arne Jacobsen, is synonymous with modernism. In fact, he is remembered for his perfectionism, his preference for organic forms and his ability to marry elegance with function, all qualities evident in Bellevue. To celebrate Arne Jacobsen's 120th anniversary, & Tradition has created two special editions of this iconic floor lamp, inspired by the original design from 1929. The Bellevue Anniversary Edition is now available in white with bronzed brass and stone gray with bronzed brass finishes.
'To celebrate the designer's 120th anniversary, & Tradition is honored to continue Jacobsen's design legacy with these two editions to celebrate his genius.' - Martin Kornbek Hansen (founder and CEO of & Tradition)
