TCI MBQ 154/2 Electronic Ballast Fluorescent Lamps

The TCI MBQ 154/2 is an independent electronic ballast designed for T5 54W fluorescent lamps, suitable for professional and industrial lighting installations. Thanks to its compact and versatile design, the MBQ 154/2 ballast integrates seamlessly into both standard and emergency lighting systems, fully compatible with equipment compliant with EN 60598-2-22.

Main technical features

The ballast operates at an input voltage of 220-240 V and features an IP20 protection rating, intended for indoor use only. Its compact dimensions — 155 mm in length, 38 mm in width and 21 mm in depth — allow easy integration into luminaires. Pre-heating start technology significantly extends lamp service life. Push-wire connections (conductor cross-section 0.5–1.5 mm²) simplify wiring, while the supplied terminal cover secures H03VVH2-F and H05VVH2-F cables for stand-alone use. Mounting is achieved via slots for screws, ensuring stable installation.

Safety and protections

The TCI MBQ 154/2 incorporates a comprehensive protection system covering mains voltage spikes, lamp disconnection with automatic pre-heating restart, lamp failure, partial rectification EOL T.2 according to EN 61347-2-3 (par. 17.3), and end-of-lamp-life detection.
