TCI Driver BMU MD 10W 500mA constant current dimmable

The TCI BMU MD 10W 500mA driver is a constant current dimmable LED driver designed for integration into professional and design lighting fixtures. Compatible with 220-240V input voltage and approved for EU, AUD, USA, UK and JAP systems, it delivers a reliable and versatile solution for high-quality lighting installations.

Thanks to its trailing edge and leading edge (IGBT-TRIAC) phase-cut dimming, this driver enables precise control of light intensity, making it ideal for residential and contract environments where customisable lighting scenes and energy efficiency are essential.

Main technical features

The driver operates in constant current mode at 500mA, with a 10W output power and an output voltage ranging from 6 to 20V. The regulated current ensures stability within ±8%, including temperature variations, guaranteeing consistent long-term performance. The active PFC improves overall system energy efficiency. Input and output terminals are located on the same side and support cable sections up to 1.5 mm² / AWG15. Mounting is achieved via screw slots, while the compact dimensions of 62 x 50 x 22mm in PVC material allow easy recessing even in tight spaces. The protection degree is IP20, with insulation class I.

Safety and protections

The driver features a comprehensive protection system, including safeguards against overheating and short circuit, mains overvoltage and overloads. Thermal protection complies with standard C.5.a.
