TCI ELC ALO50 Emergency kit for Halogen Lamps 12V 20W-50W

The TCI ELC ALO50 is an emergency kit for 12V halogen lamps rated from 20W to 50W, designed to ensure safety lighting with instant activation upon any mains failure. Compatible with both LED and halogen light sources, it offers a reliable and compact solution for low-voltage emergency lighting installations.

With its compact dimensions — 150 x 30 x 40 mm — the kit integrates seamlessly into existing installations, supporting both maintained and non-maintained operation, with a 2-hour autonomy in compliance with EN60924 standards.

Main technical features

The device accepts an input voltage of 230-240V at 50-60Hz and delivers 12V DC output with a power range of 20 to 50W. Supply current is rated at 40 mA max at cosφ 0.9, with an operating frequency between 20 and 80 kHz. The kit is compatible with both magnetic and electronic transformers, with a maximum distance of 2 metres between ballast and lamp.

Safety and protection

The kit includes high-temperature Ni-Cd Saft rechargeable batteries, capable of sustaining permanent charge for at least 4 years in environments up to +40°C, with a cycle life exceeding 500 charge-discharge cycles. It features a LED charge indicator, protection against extended discharge, and a self-diagnosis system with external microprocessor module. An inhibition mode via centralised remote control is also available.
