James Wines, founder and president of SITE Studio, is a leading figure in architecture and environmental art. Winner of the National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2013, he has designed more than 150 buildings in 11 countries with an approach that blends art, architecture and landscape. He teaches Architecture at Penn State University and lectures internationally on integrated thinking and sustainability. His collaboration with Foscarini began in 1991 with Table Light / Wall Light and was renewed nearly three decades later with a monograph on Inventory, resulting in a small collection of lamps and objects.
