Rotaliana Totem & Tabù grazing wall lamp

Rotaliana Totem & Tabù is a grazing wall lamp by Italian brand Rotaliana, combining aesthetic research and LED technology in a strongly decorative object. Mounted on the wall, it recalls hand-sculpted primitive masks: the screens are engraved with regular horizontal or vertical lines carved into wood or metal, reflecting the ambient light. The lamp consists of a die-cast aluminium frame, a silicone perimeter optic and a thin, easily removable screen mounted with 2 special inserts. The grazing light from the LEDs arranged around the perimeter diffuses along the wall, leaving the screens in soft shadow and creating an enveloping, atmospheric effect.

The name Totem & Tabù — inspired by Sigmund Freud's book of the same title — reflects the archetypal and evocative character of this lamp family, ideal for enhancing residential spaces with mood lighting. It is the perfect choice for the living room or the bedroom, where grazing light highlights surface textures and contributes to defining the atmosphere. The screens can be made in a wide range of materials: metal, solid wood, reconstituted wood or MDF milled with original three-dimensional designs, mirror, fabric and other materials and decorations. The integrated 35 W LED source ensures a CRI90 colour rendering index with a colour temperature of 3000 K warm white, powered at 220-240 V with driver included and dimming via the DALI protocol. The dimensions are 445 mm in height, 220 mm in width and 50 mm in depth; insulation class I and protection rating IP20 make it suitable exclusively for indoor installations. Dimmable Push, Phase, non-dimmable and 2700 K colour temperature versions are available on request.

Totem & Tabù is available in numerous finishes grouped into distinct collections. The Classics include matt white, mirror and slate. The Satin Collection offers graphite, royal gold, silver, dark bronze, matt black, bronze and champagne. The Kerakoll Warm Collection features sand, rope, dove grey and coffee.
