QLT PIR Motion Sensor for Strip LED in Aluminum Profiles

The QLT PIR Motion Sensor for LED Strips in Aluminum Profiles (ref. A40PIRSW0010) is a presence and motion detection sensor with PIR technology, designed to be built directly into aluminum profiles for LED strips. Its compact form factor — 55 mm in length, 10 mm in width and 12 mm in depth — allows seamless integration into any installation, enabling automatic lighting activation upon motion detection. The sensor operates at constant voltage 12V / 24V DC with a maximum current capacity of 6A, supporting a maximum output power of 72W at 12V and 144W at 24V. Its IP20 rating and Insulation Class III make it suitable for protected indoor installations.

This PIR sensor is ideal for automating LED lighting in residential environments such as the kitchen, the living room or the bedroom. It detects the passage of people at up to 3 metres within a 110° angle, activating the LED strip for 40 seconds via the built-in timer. Mounting is achieved using isolated bi-adhesive tape (minimum 1 mm thickness) directly onto the aluminum profile, while the electrical connection is provided by soldering pads. The modular lens facilitates installation even on low-profile surfaces, ensuring a clean and professional result.
