Prisma Insert +2 is a recessed LED step light for outdoor use by Performance and Lighting, designed for wall-recessed installation in solid walls, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The housing is made of die-cast aluminium coated with high-resistance polyester powder paint through a 13-step ISO 9227 process, ensuring outstanding protection against UV rays and weathering. The diffuser consists of flat glass with an internal frosted finish, complemented by an EPDM gasket and stainless steel locking screws, achieving a protection rating of IP65.

Thanks to its asymmetric wide-diffusing optic, the Insert +2 delivers uniform light distribution along vertical surfaces, making it an excellent choice for highlighting pathways, staircases and façades in outdoor settings. The 10 W LED source, powered at 220-240 V, produces a luminous flux of 1350 lumens in warm light 3000K and 1410 lumens in neutral light 4000K, with an estimated average lifespan of 60,000 hours. The fixture is available in three finishes — white, metallic grey and metallic anthracite — to suit a wide range of architectural contexts. The compact dimensions of 284 × 88 × 59 mm allow straightforward recessed integration. External electrical connection is made via a sealed QUICK plug-socket complete with cable, compatible with wires from 7 to 12 mm; for the Insert +2 series, through-wiring connectors are available as accessories, fitting wires measuring 7 to 10.5 mm and 14 to 17 mm. The fixture requires a recessed fixing box, to be ordered separately: it features a removable cover with two built-in spirit levels to facilitate precise installation. An adapter flange is also available as an accessory to retrofit the unit into the previous Insert 2 model.
