Petite Friture Sandows armchair

The Sandows armchair with wooden armrests is a design by René Herbst dating back to 1929, reissued by Petite Friture as a faithful reproduction of one of the founding pieces of French modernism. The load-bearing structure is in painted steel, while the seat and backrest are formed by interlaced rubber bungee cords — the iconic "sandows" that give the entire family its name — offering flexible and surprisingly comfortable support.
