Osram VIALOX NAV-E 250W 4Y E40 sodium vapor bulb

The Osram VIALOX NAV-E 250W 4Y E40 is a high-pressure sodium vapor lamp engineered for professional and industrial applications demanding high luminous efficacy and extended service life. Manufactured in opal glass with an E40 cap, it measures Ø91 × 226 mm and delivers a luminous flux of 31,600 lm at 250 W absorbed power, with a color temperature of 2000 K that produces the warm amber light characteristic of sodium discharge sources.

Thanks to its outstanding performance, this lamp is an ideal solution for road lighting, industrial installations and general outdoor applications, suitable for use in both open and enclosed luminaires. It provides energy savings of up to 50% compared to conventional mercury vapor lamps (HQL) and maintains a luminous flux maintenance factor of 80% or above after 16,000 hours of operation, with a 95% lamp survival factor at the same threshold — corresponding to an operational lifespan of approximately 4 years at around 11 hours of daily use. The lamp is dimmable with both conventional and electronic ballasts, including POWERTRONIC® PTo 3DIM systems, for optimal energy management. It operates at an input voltage of 220–240 V.
