Oluce Spider 291 Adjustable Table Lamp

Oluce Spider 291 is an adjustable table lamp designed by Joe Colombo in 1965, and one of the most celebrated icons of twentieth-century Italian design. Its structure combines a lacquered metal base, a chromium-plated stem and a lacquered aluminium reflector, which can be swivelled and adjusted in height thanks to a melamine joint, delivering precise and direct light exactly where needed. The lamp features an integrated on/off switch and black cable, and is available in two colour options: white with white interior and black with white interior.

The Spider 291 is far more than a light source: it is an enduring icon of Italian design, winner of the first Compasso d'Oro for Oluce in 1967 and part of the permanent collections of the Triennale di Milano, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Kunstmuseum in Düsseldorf and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. Its timeless vintage and retro aesthetic makes it an ideal choice for a living room, a sophisticated office or a design-led bedroom. It uses a G9 lampholder with a maximum power of 48 W, compatible with both LED and halogen bulbs, which are already included. Its compact dimensions — a total height of 40 cm and a base diameter of 18 cm — make it suitable for any surface.
