Oluce Lyndon 161 wall lamp

Oluce's Lyndon 161 wall lamp, originally designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977 and reissued in 2025, is a luminous object that encapsulates the essence of Italian design: rigorous, understated, yet elegant and recognizable. Designed for outdoor use, this lamp represents a perfect synthesis of functionality and poetics of form. The distinctive feature of the project is its structure inspired by a modern candelabra: a thin metal line, here in a galvanized and painted version, lightly accommodates and supports a large globe in transparent polycarbonate. This spherical element acts as a light diffuser and gives the lamp a suspended and delicate image, capable of dialoguing with the external environment without invading it. The wall version maintains the minimalist approach of the original design, but reinterprets it with materials and finishes suitable for outdoor spaces. Available in matte black and a refined ivory shade, the Lyndon 161 is ideal for illuminating facades, patios, porches and gardens, adding a touch of timeless design. With Lyndon, Magistretti once again demonstrates how simplicity can be transformed into pure elegance.
