Oluce Coupé black led table lamp

The Oluce Coupé black LED table lamp is an icon of Italian design created by Joe Colombo in 1967, originally conceived as a variation of the Spider family by the same designer, sharing its base and stem. The structure is crafted in black lacquered steel, with a height of 400 mm and a base diameter of 230 mm. The simple yet ingenious mechanism connecting the stem to the head allows the light beam to be directed in multiple orientations — upward, downward and sideways — offering precise and intuitive light control. The E26/E27 lampholder, compatible with LED or halogen sources up to 100 W, and a universal voltage range of 100–240 V make it suitable for any residential and international context. A switch is included.

The Coupé is far more than a lamp: in 1968 it received the International Design Award from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago, and today it belongs to the permanent collections of the MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. Available with either a semi-cylindrical or semi-spherical dome, and produced over the decades in table, floor and wall versions, it remains one of Oluce's most celebrated collections.
